********Call to Digital Media Developers and Cultural Heritage Organisations with an Interest in developing Immersive Experiences ***********

Save the Date: Monday 30 March 2020

Sutton House - National Trust

2 & 4 Homerton High St, Hackney, London, E9 6JQ

Brunel University London is organising a timely symposium with the aim to scope current challenges facing Mixed Reality Technology to identify opportunities in developing Cultural Heritage immersive experiences. This Symposium will bring together professionals across cultural heritage, museums and galleries, digital media design and immersive technologies, and serious games, along with a variety of scholars for an afternoon focussed on the development of Mixed Reality applications specifically for Cultural Heritage.

As such, we are calling for proposals to structure themed panel discussions on topics of interest to the diverse communities who work within Digital Cultural Heritage with a focus on the use of immersive technologies.

The Symposium starts with a welcome by Sutton House - National Trust and a demonstration of Sutton House Stories, a Smart Glass Augmented Reality experience led by Dr Mariza Dima, as part of a collaborative project developed by Brunel University London, Sutton House National Trust, and Fracture Reality and Mnemoscene / Mixed Reality developers.

Please send expressions of interest, proposals and questions to Mariza.Dima@brunel.ac.uk

Deadline: Friday 6th March 2020

The programme will be based on the expression of interest for particular themes to be addressed. The Symposium’s confirmed programme will be announced on Thursday 11 March.
